Jewish Employment Montreal (JEM) is a not-for-profit constituent agency of Federation CJA, the central address for Jewish philanthropy and community service in Montreal. We are the Montreal leader in employability and placement and provide a wide range of services to both job seekers and employers.
JEM, founded in 1945, was the response to returning Canadian war veterans and displaced persons arriving from Europe who were seeking employment. Sixty years later we have grown to over 40 employees, two dozen programs in employment development services including career assessment, skills training and job placement. JEM serves over 4000 individuals a year of all ages and backgrounds.
All our programs are supported by Federal, Provincial or private funding sources.
