The JEM Connections Program is designed to get your life moving in a positive direction.
In partnership with McGill University School of Social Work, this program offers employability training, and internships, to those individuals who have experienced difficulty in securing or maintaining employment. Typically these candidates have mild ADD, personality or anxiety disorders, mild learning disabilities or depression.
The Connections Program provides counseling activities in a supportive group setting examining individual obstacles and paths toward achieving employment success. A key goal of this program is to build confidence and self esteem.
TESTIMONIAL
Ryan Katz, like many of our clients, began the Connections program discouraged and with no direction. He described himself as "hopeless, lost and without a future". These feelings seemed to be compounded by a lifelong history of learning disabilities and poor academic performance.
With the help of Connections, Ryan has turned his life around. Now 27 years old, he has held the same position since March 2001. "I now know the type of work that is best for me. I have confidence and I now believe in myself. I also know that I can turn to the Connections Staff should I need help".

Connections offer additional programs for those individuals who would be more successful following a more individualized plan.
"Rightsizing", Connections newest program focuses on the newly unemployed who have been victims of downsizing or business closure. This 6-week program will provide strategic workshops designed to move you forward, including a three-week job club enhancing the job skills necessary in getting you back to work.
JEM will be there every step of the way
